The Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue Auxiliary was organized more than twenty years ago to serve in association with the HNFR. The Auxiliary carries on many important functions, including support of fire fighting units, supplying food and drink during firefighting operations, and fundraising.

The Auxiliary's biggest annual fundraising event is the Lobster Luncheon and Craft Sale, held on the first Saturday of August. This event takes place at the Irving Chipman Station in South Harpswell and features lobster and crab rolls donated by local fishermen, local craftsmen and artists, local authors signing books and various raffles, all to raise money for the Fire and Rescue.
