1.            PURPOSE: To add additional trained emergency personnel to augment Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue personnel. 

2.            REFERENCES: Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue By-laws

3.            RESPONSIBILITY: Fire Chief has the responsibility to ensure the purpose and intent of this document is adhered to.

4.           PROCEDURE:  Affiliate members must be primarily associated with another Fire or Rescue department.    

A.     Affiliate members are not obliged to

1.        Commit to a weekly scheduled shift

2.        Be within the boundaries of Harpswell Neck

B.     Affiliate members, when responding to a HNFR call, will be covered by all SOGs, insurances, etc. that apply to regular members.

C.    Affiliate members must either be residents of the town of Harpswell or whose work or other commitments brings them regularly to the town of Harpswell.

D.    Affiliate members do qualify for compensatory wages and have voting privileges.

E.     Affiliate members do not qualify for tuition support.

F. Affiliate members must participate in the inventory check rotation and training meetings.
